YES, there is a space for you in technology that does not require you to know how to code.
When we hear about technology, we typically picture a developer, a designer, or a data analyst. The tech industry has developed beyond that. Many businesses are now looking to hire people who don't work in the technical side of technology. We shall examine some non-technical positions in technology in this post.
Below are some of the non-technical roles in tech:
- Product Management
- UX Writing
- Customer Success
- Community Management
- Digital Marketing
Guys, it's time to explore.
Product Management
Planning, developing, launching, and managing a product or service are all parts of the process of product management. A product manager ascertains customer needs and aligns them with organizational objectives. They are crucial in driving the company’s growth, margin, and revenue since they are focused on the Product and the Customers. Business fundamentals, communication, teamwork, negotiation, and other abilities are some skills that product managers need.
Keep in mind that Product managers are not the same as Project managers. Look into project management.
UX-Writing
UX writing entails creating copy for digital products that assist users in navigating the products. UX writers create content style guides to make digital interfaces simple to understand and use. So, if you enjoy writing and design but don’t want to design websites, apps, or anything else, I suppose you should look into UX writing. Teamwork, writing skills, humor, and the ability to motivate users are all desirable qualities.
Customer Success
Customer success entails anticipating customers’ challenges or questions and addressing them while also being proactive in providing solutions and new services that could produce positive outcomes for the organization. They also ensure their products meet the expectations of their customers.
Community Management
They are concerned with building relationships with the public by taking advantage of opportunities to interact with them. The community manager is more involved with the community members; they act as users to encourage audience engagement. The community could take the form of a Slack channel, a Discord channel, or any other platform.
"Please know that a community manager is not the same as a social media manager."
Digital Marketing
Digital marketing is also known as online marketing. It entails using the internet, social media, and digital technology to sell and promote brands, products, or services. Digital marketing comes in many forms, including social media marketing, mobile marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing, and others.
Conclusion
Keep in mind that these are not all non-technical professions in technology. Among these, I chose a few. Now that you don’t have to worry about coding or designing, it’s time for you to get started in tech.
